How to create fonts with stone texture with GIMP and Inkscape
First, I would like to write some lines to thank you. when I did the video asking for your help so I could continue the podcast I wasn’t expecting so much receptivity. Today, a week after starting the Patreon, Flattr and Paypal campaigns, I have already received 2 donations and over 10 messages! Podcast are possible thanks to your kindness, which allows me to dedicate my time into create new and awesome content, based on your request and ideas. Once again, thank you for believing in this project… and if you have no idea what am I talking about, just click here!
Now if you want to quickly review this tutorial, I have added a couple of slideshows so you can see the steps to follow for each tool. Lets just remember that GIMP is a Bitmap editor, while Inkscape is a vector editor. Even if I love GIMP, when I have to work with designs that “might” get printed, I rather using vectors, since they will allow me to resize my artwork without loosing quality. However, good thing is that we will always have different options to do everything, so let me know which process did you like the most!
