The Walking Dead: Too fast and not that violent. PS3

2 August, 2014 by tatica Leave a Comment

One of the first games I played when the PS3 arrived was The Walking Dead and I was really excited about this game because I had already played the preview at the Ipad. It looked like an interesting game with a storytelling plot to follow and somehow, I expected to be related with the tvserie characters.

Play as Lee Everett, a convicted criminal, who has been given a second chance at life in a world devastated by the undead. With corpses returning to life and survivors stopping at nothing to maintain their own safety, protecting an orphaned girl named Clementine may offer him redemption in a world gone to hell.

The game is divided in five chapters:

  • Episode 1 – A New Day
  • Episode 2 – Starved for Help
  • Episode 3 – Long Road Ahead
  • Episode 4 – Around Every Corner
  • Episode 5 – No Time Left

The game has some good graphics, and the fact that you can make choices to get different endings gives it a plus. However, it seemed a quite boring game to me, and let me carving for a more complex gameplay. If I had to recommend this game, I would tell you that it’s better to play it on an Ipad or Smartphone. Anyway, is not that the game is bad, just that is probably not good enough for a console. Reviews are so good that it was even awarded as the Game of the Year back in 2012. Maybe is just me that I’m used to another kind of games, who knows…
