The Gates of Madrid

WOW! I just got a late Bday present!

In May I had the chance to attend to LGM (Libre Graphics Meeting) at Madrid, and gather with some friends from the Free/Open Art community.

One of my friends asked me to join him on an afternoon photo-walk, and with a lot of patience (besides happines since he lend me his 60D) I did the assistant work stopping traffic, translating everything from spanish (since he didn’t spoke spanish), asking people to pose… anyway, a fun experience.

Usually I’m behind the camera and I never pose for anyone besides myself, for my own self portraits, and in the middle of the hurry to take the pics in time, I did some poses, mostly joking. Was an awesome surprise to see myself inside the book, as always, doing funny faces.

The best about this book is that the pictures were edited with Darktable, the cover art was done with Inkscape and the layout was made with Scribus and ImageMagick, including open fonts.
