Video: How to use ask.fedoraproject.org

Recently I took a design ticket that was asking to help with a descriptive video on how to use ask.fedoraproject.org. FranciscoD had made some awesome screencast and set a really detailed storyboard that help me editing and adding audio (even if my english isn’t perfect I think it works) and I can say that has been awesome to work with the ask team!

Since I think that sharing is caring, here are the tools I use to make this video, hope you find this info useful:

recordmydesktop: to record the screencast
inkscape: to make the intro and outro images
audacity: to record and edit the audio (the noise reduction feature works like a charm)
kdenlive: To put everything together and add the fading details

    Nice video.

But please make videos that can be played in Fedora without Flash and without patent incumbered codecs. Thanks.

After hearing the voice I think this video is for Español/Español speaking people…

    But anyway it’s good!

    The video is great!

However, your voice sounds very “robotic”. (and having met at Flock, I know the original doesn’t sound like that :P)

Maybe that’s due to the audio editing?

Well, I just embeded the flash since that’s what vimeo offers you, however, if you click the link you can change it to HTML5 (I’m not a big fan of flash either, but if they don’t offer me an HTML5 embed… well…).

Yes I’m a robot!!! I don’t know if was either being completely scared or unsure or whatever, but to be honest isn’t easy to speak english. Probably more practice could make it better next time.

Thank you for your comments, the best way to keep getting better is by getting feedback :)
