II OpenSource tools Workshop at Córdoba

During my stay at Argentina for FUDcon, I will be participating at the II OpenSource tools workshop, talking a bit about Graphic Tools. We will use Gimp, Inkscape and Darktable, so the attendees can see how they work on a professional environment, and those who know me already know this will be something fun… Day/Time: monday, September 7 – 20 to 22hs Location: Casa 13 / Pasaje Revol 19, Barrio Güemes Free entrance Workshops have as goal to make an introduction and spread the use of opensource tools on different areas, such as graphic design, audio and 3d printing. There will also be a space to discuss new cultural practices and the intellectual property in this new digital era. Schedule: Monday 9/7: ” Graphic tools” Short introduction to Darktable, Gimp and Inkscape for image editing and photography. By María “Tatica” Leandro. Monday 9/21: “At the top of the wave: 3d printing” Design and construction of 3d printers with open software and open hardware. By Valentín Basel Monday 10/5: Workshop: “Audio for everyone, noise for no one” Recording and sound editing with Audacity.  By Marcelo Tuller Monday 10/19: Talk-workshop “Spring remix: ¿change of paradigms or theft triumph? Discussion about intellectual property on digital era” Space to evaluate the persecution from the pirates era, thieves, Niks and borges, til the proposals to access culture. By: Ana Almada, Carolina Goth and Maximiliano Giraldes.
