Last night we had our first videoconference. Test started at 7:30pm and meeting ended at… 1:30AM! (and just because there was a blackout on my street). I didn’t expect this sucess, however, I embrace it. Maybe our community just need to use tools that aproach them and give them an oportunity to give faces to names and nicks. A couple of months ago I had a small shutdown from linux communities since *real life* was going on, and with some friends help, I tried to figure out *why* we do what we do. El dia de hoy comenzo el FUDcon Blacksburg en el estado de Virginia, realmente ha sido mas de lo que esperaba asi que les dare un breve resumen de como va todo hasta los momentos: Buenos amigos. Usualmente no posteo cosas de este estilo, sin embargo a veces es importante sacar a relucir un poco como es un por dentro también. Hoy vi este video por un amigo de FB y me parece que, pese a que puede ser vista con gracia, es una campaña muy loable. 10 chicas colombianas muestran sus tetas naturales como campaña de Soho para que las niñas y jóvenes que con apenas 15 años ya piensan en modificar sus cuerpos artificialmente se lo piensen dos veces. El pasado Viernes, Sábado y Domingo se celebró en Caracas la 2da edición del @CaracasComicCon , la convención de fanáticos de comics (y anime) de Venezuela. Gracias a @Teyslaider quien me regaló mi entrada pude asistir a este evento al que siempre había querído ir. Lamentablemente solo pude asistir el día Sábado, pero igual la pasé genial y puedo decir “Misión Cumplida!!” Mi cosplay fue de Alex DeLarge, que si bien no es un personaje de anime, es un personaje de culto y me sorprendió mucho que más gente de la que pensaba lo reconoció.
