Yeah, I guess the guy was really desperate (I know him from our childhood and yes, he was desperate) to wait that long… anyone would have concluded “she’s not into me and want to tell this indirectly”… but in that case that was wrong, she *was* into him.

That’s not a Venezuelean thing… here in my country we have what’s called “the academic hour quarter”, meaning there is no big problem is someone is late up to 15 minute at a meeting. If you meet with a female, then that 15 minute wait is obligatory… she won’t show up at the right time because that would reveal her interest on you or diminish her superiority.

Do you want to hear the story with the girl I was supposed to meet and talk about a photo session (she want to become a model) and and a half an hour late I had to call her on the mobile, as she totally forgot about it… do you want to hear the story about a woman I know who was 2 hours (!!!) late at her first date (!!!) with her future boyfriend (I cut the contact with them, they may be married by now)?

I am also the kind of person who does not like to get late, so when I have to go somewhere take into consideration the worst case scenario and usually arrive early.

Yo no me sentí ofendido porque soy como @Ces y @Victoria … Me gusta llegar mucho antes porque odio hacer esperar a la gente. Pero como te digo… Existe una gran diferencia entre decir “muchos” a decir que todos… Por lo menos tu y yo llegamos temprano xD Jajajajaja.

Soy venezolano y no tengo esa costumbre así que no creo necesario generalizar… Por cierto, mi mamá es venezolana, mi papá es venezolano, mis abuelos son venezolanos…. Por lo que no creo que esa sea una costumbre que tenga que ver con ser venezolano o no, más bien es un problema cultural que podrías decir que tienen “muchos” (muchisimos), pero no todos.

arreglalo, diles que solo esperaras 10 o 15 minutos (tiempo que tu decidas, esto es un ejemplo) y veras como cambian las cosas, seran mas puntuales, o esperaras menos tiempo. otra opcion es llevar cosas como libro, cuaderno de dibujos, aprender un nuevo idioma mientras uno espera. eso yo lo hago aca en Mexico, estoy aprendiendo chino. ??
