I should also change my phone, the current one is quite old, close to 4 years old, and is showing its age. However I am waiting and looking at the market and waiting again, since I plan to keep the new phone for at least 3 years and I would like it to run Linux. Unfortunately, the choices are not good: Nokia N900 is the most open phone and Linux-friendly, but it is priced way out of my range (it should cost less than half) and is a bit too large. From the Android phones, I don't like most of them are locked to certain firmware versions, you can't install the latest software, Nexus One seems to be the best one from this point of view, but it is also out of my price range and NOT sold in my country. I had better expectations for the Chinese manufacturers, including Huawei, to shake-up the Android market, but this didn't happen yet... I will have to wait some more.
