I have not tried yet maple syrup, still my favourites are those filled with honey. Also, home made fruit jam is a good option. Or ice cream. An interesting filling I found was a combination of chocolate spread (like Nutella) and orange jam: it was booth sweet and sour, consistent and refreshing.

Now, if I would know the right hand gesture with the pan so you flip them in the air...</description>
